Crown 8o: 7¼" × 5", top edge only trimmed and blue,white wove, no mark; 12pt. Caslon; line block illustrations and printed music throughout; casing, spine blue buckram gold-blocked: ‘[5 fillets] | SONGS | OF THE | BIRDS | W. | GARSTANG | THE | BODLEY HEAD | [5 fillets]’, boards mottled grey and yellow paper, printed on upper cover with line block of birds around a nest.

Note

Curwen Library copy lacks the casing; no copy traced with publisher's casing as issued; it was probably similar to Er.
