Crown 4o: 10⅝" × 7", uncut, white laid, J W Zanders ; 16⅔pt. Koch Neuland by Rudolf Koch, hand set, bought by Nonesuch from Klingspor foundry 1923; 12 wood engravings on rectos B3 C1 C3 etc to H1; in each section ff1v 2r 3v 4r are blank, as the bolts at the heads of the pages are intended to stay uncut; casing, black paper gold-blocked down spine: ‘GENESIS’, and across head of upper cover: ‘GENESIS’, and stars and crosses alternating in decoration at foot of upper cover; dust-jacket (lacking on Curwen copy).
