Foolscap 4o: 8½" × 6⅝" trimmed, white wove, no mark 16½pt. Lutetia (founder's type); casing, spine black cloth, gold-blocked up: ‘EMIN : A.J.A.SYMONS’, boards white laid paper with red-printed pattern

Emin Pasha (1840-92) was Governor of Equatorial Sudan; B.L. copy and Curwen copy un-numbered.
