Technical description

Crown 4o: 10" × 7", top edge only trimmed and gilt, white laid, Van Gelder Zonen; 14pt. Lutetia; colour facsimiles in red yellow brown green and grey; casing, vellum on bevelled boards, spine gold-blocked up: ‘THE CASALE PILGRIM’; of the 4-leaf blank sections at each end, the outermost leaves are both pasted down to the boards, to counter-act the pull of the vellum.
