Baskerville; line block illustrations in text; collotype illustrations in text and on inserts, some in colour; casing, red buckram, gold-blocked on spine: ‘A LIFE OF GAUDIER- BRZESKA BY H. S. EDE HEINEMANN’, and on upper cover an enlargement of the artist's signature, gold-blocked 8" wide.
See Simon 1956 pp.93-4 : Arnold Bennett had recommended the manuscript to Heinemann's, and taken a keen and active interest in it; he fell ill in January 1931, so could not review it in the Evening Standard; publication was postponed to 1931, and only 50 copies sold within the first year; Balston (1951) p.31 says the impression was 150 copies at 15 guineas = £15/15/0d.
