Notes

Not in Curwen Library or 1963 handlist; written and contributed by Douglas Ball, Aberystwyth. The identity of the artist was unknown but apparently Oliver Simon said they were by Celia Fiennes (1902-1998). See the Nestlings Press web-site which recounts this information in paragraph 8.

This item should perhaps be excluded as commercial; the unicorn/hobby-horse deserves to join the rest of the herd in Unicornucopia (Harley 1973).
