Technical description

Elephant 2o: 13⅝" × 10", top edge only trimmed and gilt, white wove, VGZ Holland; 18(+3)pt. Baskerville; line blocks, collotypes; casing, blue buckram, gold-blocked on spine with fillets dividing it into 6 panels, and lettering, in 2nd panel: ‘DECORATIVE | INITIAL | LETTERS’, 4th panel: ‘A. F. JOHNSON’, 6th panel: ‘THE | CRESSET | PRESS’, and on upper cover a large decorative initial C.
