It seems that a large portion of the unsold stock of this printing was destroyed in a fire at the publisher's premises, causing the market price to rise through scarcity. In 1963 a reprint of both volumes revised by R. W. Kidner appeared published by Ian Allan. This incorporates many corrections, but also omits sections felt to be no longer of interest.
