B.L. catalogue notes "printed for private circulation"; their copy contains ms corrections, and this may indicate Major Cazalet was the author.
General Sikorski, prime minister of the Free Polish government in exile in London, was in 1943 killed in an air crash, in which Major Cazalet, his military liaison, also died. An enquiry in 2009 by the Polish government identified that the dead did include Sikorski and dismissed theories of a Russian plot.
