HOWE’, and on upper wrapper: ‘[within a double-rule border] GRETA HALL by H. W. HOWE’.
Greta Hall, Keswick, Cumbria, was the home of Robert Southey and Samuel Taylor Coleridge. H. W. Howe was headmaster of nearby Keswick School.
