5½" × 3¾", trimmed, white wove, no mark, inserts of whiter wove paper, no mark; 10didot Walbaum (15½pt. setting); illustrations in black and several colours on inserts; casing, paper printed on both covers with pictorial design, with title down spine: ‘HINTS ON ETIQUETTE’ and price across foot: ‘[5s]’ incorporated in upper cover design: ‘HINTS ON ETIQUETTE AND THE USAGES OF SOCIETY WITH A GLANCE AT [final line in blackletter] Bad Habits’.
It appears that the author was Charles William Day; his nom-de-plume, transliterated: Agōgos, meaning a leading-rein or lead, appears in Greek script in line 9 of the t.p.
