Notes

The frontispiece is an engraving from a drawing by Frances MacDonald (1914-2002).

Berthold Wolpe lettered the cover design for the first year, printed in other colours for issues 2 and 3.

Simon's Editorial note confirms that the bomb of 8/Oct/1940 which removed the machine room roof at Plaistow was indeed high-explosive. It also affirms that Series I was suspended because of World War II, contradicting Harley Harley 1970 p.21.
