Ehrhardt; collotype portrait on insert; casing, pale buff buckram gold-blocked up spine, at foot: ‘SONCINO | PRESS’, then higher up: ‘JOSEPH HERMAN HERTZ: IN MEMORIAM’, boards have blind double fillet around border; printed dust-jacket.

Notes

Joseph Herman Hertz, d. 14 January 1946, was Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the British Empire from 1913.

According to the B.L. Catalogue this memorial volume was compiled by Rabbi I Epstein; the memoir was written by the Rev. Ephraim Levine; a bibliography of Hertz's publications is included.
