Bembo; paper wrappers made onto the pastedown endleaves, printed in black and dull red, down spine in red: ‘LONDON TRADES COUNCIL | [then horizontal] 1860– | 1950 | [black rule] | [then downwards dull red] A HISTORY [then horizontal, block: Lawrence and Wishart's mark]’, and upper cover printed dull red all over except for 10pt rule, 1¼" from spine, left white, and black lettering as follows: ‘London | Trades | Council | 1860–1950 | [rule linking up with rule on spine] | A HISTORY | Special edition for the London Trades Council, Not for public sale [vertical rule] 3/6’.
