Notes

Not in 1963 handlist or in Curwen Library; drawn to my attention by Douglas Ball.

The first appreciation, signed on p.10, H.S., is probably by Herbert Simon; the second by Sir Francis Meynell states that it is reprinted from The Times.

Harold Curwen, born 16 November 1885, a director of the company from 1908, retired at the end of 1939 for reasons of health, and died 6 May 1949.
