Imperial 8o: 10¾" × 7½", trimmed, white wove, F. J. Head, insert and section [6] of smooth white wove photographic paper; 14(+3)pt. Ehrhardt, large initials and titles to chapters in blue; photographs on rectos of [6] which is single leaves made into pairs; the design by A. Games on insert after [1]1 appears to be produced by a photographic method; casing, cream buckram, gold-blocked up spine: ‘QUEEN ELIZABETH CORONATION FOREST’, on upper cover in blue and gold the same words incorporated in a design with 6-pointed star and arboreal crown, on lower cover gold-blocked a 6-pointed star; tissue wrapper.
The planting ceremony for the Queen Elizabeth Forest took place on 3/May/1955; it is now (2017) known as the Jerusalem Forest, and lies within the Lower Galilee region, in the Northern District of Israel.
