The bibliography, on pp.55-7, covers works by and referring to Bodoni; the 1818 edition of Bodoni's Manuale was printed by his widow after his death; translator's note includes acknowledgement to S. Morison.
Oliver Simon Simon 1973 p.240-1 lists this limited edition as on 'Van Gelder Simili Japon paper', but distinct from the 'special edition' of 25 copies on Japanese vellum; both editions 'bound full paper boards'.
The Italian firm Officina Bodoni was granted (1922) sole rights to use the original matrices (Glaister 1960 p.36, p.281).
