Caslon with 4-line dropped initials; line-block illustrations, type specimens and collotype illustrations including blocks in red on I2r M1r M2r N4v and O1r; collotypes in brown on inserts after F3 I3 and O1 (the last two protected by tissues); casing, black buckram, spine gold-blocked: ‘THE FLEURON No.4.1925’

This was the last volume of The Fleuron printed at Curwen Press; for the earlier issues see 1 Fn, 2 Gl, 3 Gm; Oliver Simon and Stanley Morison had intended from the start to publish a series of 8 volumes, transferring editorial control partway through Moran 1971 p.81-92; see Simon 1973 p.171 for evidence of changed production plan; volumes V, VI and VII(1930) were edited by Stanley Morison and printed at Cambridge University Press. Note inconsistent use of arabic and roman volume numbers.
